Gift of Hope

What you need to know

Transplantation is one of the most remarkable success stories in the history of medicine. But despite continuing advances in medicine and technology, the need for organs and tissue is vastly greater than the number available for transplantation.

Transplantation gives hope to thousands of people with organ failure and provides many others with active and renewed lives.

About Us

Cleveland MOTTEP is the only organization in Ohio providing community-based, culturally specific transplant, health and prevention education exclusively to the African American community.  Our education program curriculum directly addresses health concerns and cultural interpretations within the African American community and their correlation with the need for organ and tissue transplants.
The disparity in health education and transplant availability to the African American community has been the motivator for Cleveland MOTTEP to address these disparities within the Greater Cleveland area.  Areas of program concentration include:  Education, Awareness and Donor Registration.
